Waiting Families

Hello Birthparents,
This is my husband and best friend Dan.  This is my wife and soul mate Sharon.  We met six years ago and have been enjoying life’s journey together ever since.  About four years ago we married surrounded by loving family and friends and the beautiful outdoors.  Our wedding day is similar to how we live our married life with each day filled with lots of love, laughter, friends, and family.  We are also there for each other during the difficult times.  We understand this is a difficult time for you and our hearts and thoughts are with you. 

We are excited to begin our family through adoption.  We feel that we have a great deal to give to a child.  We have a home that is filled with love, family, and friends.  Our child will be exposed to many experiences that will foster strength, growth, and individualism.  In short, we will commit ourselves to raising a well rounded child.  Our child will always know that instead of one set of loving parents, he or she has two sets.  Our child will always know that their story began with an incredibly and selfless act of love. 

We are excited to explore life through our child’s eyes and doing activities as a family.  We like camping, hiking, skiing, hanging out with friends and family, climbing, rafting, biking, walking our dogs and going to cultural events.  Dan also enjoys photography, gardening, golfing and woodworking, while Sharon likes baking, knitting, swimming, and running.

After successfully owning his own business for 17 years, Dan decided to go back to school for a career in Nursing.  Sharon teaches as a community college.  We both enjoy having rewarding jobs that allow us to help people improve their lives through education and health.
